Young Buddhist Association Resin Trophy

The year 2024 is an eventful one for the Young Buddhist Association of Indonesia. Our client has set ambitious goals for their donation drive and requested a 20cm tall Buddha enthroned on a serpent as a gift for donors.

Initially, we planned to create the statue using 3D printing with a wooden base. Due to the complexity and high cost, we opted for an alternative method using a molding process. First, we designed the Buddha suitable for 3D printing to create a prototype. The next step involved making a silicone mold to produce resin Buddha statues. This method allows for mass production at a more affordable cost. For sampling, we presented 4 different colours for client to choose from.

The final product closely resembles the 3D printed version due to our experience in the technique using molding, and our client was pleased with the outcome.
